Second Term Begins...

      The second term of the academic year has started, and there seems a lot to be done in this practically small period of three months(till Feb'12); before the exam days start.The academic year itself started off with much anticipation and enthusiasm, as we geared up; students and teachers alike, for yet another year of teaching, learning and a host of other activities.
      We take great comfort from the successful accomplishments of all our planned targets in the first term.This is a great encouragement to us, to take the second  term of the year head on.

Dept of EVS,AISC,Pune.

           The department of Environmental Science, AISC, has completed 16 years since it’s establishment in the year 1994. AISC is the first college to have started the UG course in Environmental science under the University of Pune. Since then, it has been achieving newer heights gradually.

           Although the department started with it’s T.Y. UG course little late ( 2006-07), our students have held many positions in the University ranking bringing laurels to the institution. Also, a greater percentage of the students passing out from here have done the department proud by pursuing either a career or PG courses in the related fields. At present, the department is preparing on it’s way to start the PG course, as well as various small certificate & diploma courses.

          The subject of Environmental Science being highly interdisciplinary in nature, has a tremendous scope in varied fields. This allows the students to pick the most suitable career field of the many available options, according to their temperament. Further, since the subject has socio-economic & ethical implications, due weightage is given to value education in the teaching learning process.
