About the Department Progress  &  Achievements, opportunities, strength in the following years:

Strength:
1.       There has been constant rise in the percentage of distinction holders in the University examination. Also the department has been able to produce University rank holders each academic year since the beginning of T.Y. Undergraduate programme in Environmental science
2.       Each academic year , the regular teaching & learning process is well complimented with the various curricular, co-curricular & extra – curricular activities ( ex- study tours, study visits, guest lectures, curriculum based competitions, film screening, days & week celebration
3.       The Department has well equipped laboratory for undertaking undergraduate level practical course
4.       The Department subscribes to ICT teaching & learning methods owing to the subjects dynamic nature, along with the conventional classroom teaching
5.       The Departmental staff regularly participates in syllabus restructuring programmes. Students too  have participated enthusiastically when involved at certain stages of the syllabus restructuring programme. Their feedback & suggestions on the matter were deliberated upon and thoroughly considered.
6.       The teaching staff, each year , ensures completion of the semester course at least 20 days well in advance and that of the annual course one month in advance, to allow students considerable amount of preparatory time.
7.       The Department constantly promotes & supports students for various intercollegiate / interinstitutional participation for constantly increasing exposure
8.       The Department conducts other courses at the college-
a)      An Undergraduate course in Environmental Awareness
b)      Certificate course in Environmental Management
9.       The Department has successfully influenced & increasing proportion of graduates to opt for higher education in the field of Environmental science / to make career in the field of environment.
10.   A good staff (teaching & supporting ) co- ordination on account of staff individual sincerity, punctuality & willingness for improvement.
11.   In the Academic year 2016-17 the department was able to attract good number of students at T.Y . level
12.   Publication of research papers & poster presentation in International & national conferences

Opportunities:
Career opportunities in the field of Environmental Science are increasing. After GRADUATING from the bachelor’s program me in environmental science candidates can either begin a career in one of the following fields that they are interested in/ perceive higher education.
